How can you cook frozen waffles?
Who doesn’t love waffles? But, not always have the time to whip up fresh waffles. Frozen waffles are so convenient and easy to make that they are ready in a matter of minutes. And the breakfast is served!
There are various ways to cook frozen waffles.
Make the frozen waffles in a toaster
The first and go-to method that most of us use is toasting the waffles. You could simply toast the waffles in an electric toaster just like a slice of bread. The toasting instructions are usually mentioned on the waffles pack.
For frozen waffles, the lowest temperature settings for 3-4 minutes usually work best. Some thick and whole-grain waffles may take longer and might require two cycles of toasting to get the perfectly crispy exterior.
Toasting the waffles is great if you are making them for 1 or two people. But if you have a crowd to feed or even a family of 4, it takes so many rounds of toasting.
Making the frozen waffles in the oven
For making the frozen waffles in an oven, you need to preheat the oven to 400 0F and then place all the waffles on a baking tray or cookie sheet. It usually takes 6-8minutes to cook them in the oven. But the exact time will vary with the thickness and size of the waffles.
The oven should be preferred oven toaster if making for more than two people. In the oven, you can make much more waffles at a time.
Making frozen waffles in air fryer
The air fryer makes the quickest and crispiest frozen waffles with lesser active involvement than a toaster and way faster than the oven. You can make about 4 waffles at a time, and it needs no time to preheat like oven.
Making the waffles in the air fryer is a hands-off method like oven but cooks much faster and better than frozen waffles. That is why the air fryer is my go-to tool to make frozen waffles and reheat the leftover waffles.

If you have an oven-style air fryer, with two-level cooking, make use of only one rack. Place as many waffles as you can in the center rack. If you use both the racks the waffles tend not to become crispy on both the sides.
