Various options that you can use to cook the frozen pizza bites or pizza rolls.
I have experimented with the following options to cook the frozen pizza bites.
1. Oven:
The oven is the most common and fairly good way to cook them. It does take longer as the oven takes a long to be preheated. The oven is ideal if you are making these in a huge batch for a party or get-together.
2. Air fryer:
The air fryer makes them crispier than the oven. It is a quick and energy-efficient way to cook when compared to an oven. Air frying is perfect when cooking for a family or a few guests. If you have a large air fryer, you can conveniently air fry these frozen pizza bites for entertaining also. And I need not say that it is my favorite way to cook pizza bites.
3. Bake option in instant pot:
If you have an instant pot with the bake option, try it out for making these pizza bites. It takes longer than the air fryer but gives satisfactory results when compared to microwaving and other stovetop options.

Ingredients
Frozen pizza bites
These are vegetarian pizza bites by the morning star. Most of the pizza rolls like Totino's pizza rolls, all come in meat options. We, vegetarians, do not have many options in the frozen section there. The morning star’s pizza bites are the closest substitute. I am not a fan of these, but they are a fair substitute for the pizza rolls.
The cooking time used for making the pizza bites will work well for making pizza rolls in the air fryer.
Cooking spray or vegetable oil
You can use the cooking oil spray of your choice. Other than that you can use the cooking oil of your choice. I have used 1 teaspoon of vegetable oil in this recipe. Oil is pretty much an optional ingredient. You can omit it if you want.

A few pro tips for air frying the pizza rolls/ pizza bites
- All air fryers are made differently. So, to get the same results with two different sized or designed air fryers, there will be a differential of a few seconds to a few minutes. Pull out the air fryer basket before the lowest given cook time in a recipe and see for yourself, how much more time you need.
- Place the frozen pizza bites or the pizza rolls in the air fryer in a single layer, such that there are gaps for air circulation. Never overcrowd or overlap the food in the air fryer basket.
- Do not forget to shake the air frying pizza bites halfway through the cooking time. It ensures even cooking on all sides.
