Hi, my name is Meenakshi Thakur. Welcome to The Flavor Bells!
I don’t know how you ended up here, but I am so glad that you did.
I am an ex-banker turned full-time mom of 2. This is a vegetarian blog and a trail of my indulgence in Indian and international cuisines.
Seven years ago, I moved to the United States. India has such a rich ecosystem of food and foodivity that my Indian taste buds felt discontented here. So, I started to explore my Indian culinary roots. Over several years I have nurtured my cooking skills and this blog is a reflection of my journey, my learnings, and my experiences. I have indulged my inner foodie in a rigorous but delectable culinary journey.
The Flavor Bells is a birth child of my love for food irrespective of any cuisine. This makes me a super busy mom of 3 now:).
Here I share my family's favorite recipes that I have developed and perfected over the years. I always had a passion for cooking yet never really had the time it demanded. The past seven years have been life-changing. The initial work restriction here gave me the time I always yearned for. It set me on the path of my culinary voyage.
At the beginning of my culinary pursuits, I often found myself at a loss of decisiveness about what to make? I have a bunch of spinach in my fridge, but what exactly should I make? I think this is a common Dilemma each one of us faces in our kitchens every day. Therefore I created this blog so that you, there in your home kitchens always remain inspired.
We put our time and effort into preparing meals for our loved ones. And everyone loves a surprise. So, next time you cook, make something new! Let us bring more smiles.
I believe that life is more delicious when shared. Hence, this blog.
