Notes
Recipe notes
Use ripe bananas as they are sweeter and have an enhanced flavor and aroma.
If you are going to use unsweetened cocoa powder, you will have to add a sweetener like honey or maple syrup. Or if you really want to stay sugar-free, use allulose sweetener.
Since the banana chocolate mixture is very thick, there are bound to be some big gaps in the mold on filling. So go in with a skewer and get rid of the air pockets from the mold. Also, tap the mold, 2-4 times to remove any left-out air pockets.
As the banana chocolate mixture is thick, it is not easy to pour into the mold. You will have to go in with a small spoon, which is quite time-consuming. So, use a piping bag to fill the molds.
Choose from the various variation options stated in the section to make these more fun, decadent, and delicious.
