Into a heavy bottom pan, add ⅓ cup of ghee. Melt the ghee at low flame.
As ghee melts, add coarse whole wheat flour ( Ladu Besan).
Roast the flour on a low-medium heat for about 7-8 minutes.
Now add the rest of the two types of flour. Roast on low -medium flame while stirring continuously.
Roast the Atta mixture till it turns brownish and highly aromatic.
In a separate saucepan add sugar and 2 cups of water to make a syrup. Bring the syrup to a boil and turn off the flame.
When the flour mixture has browned, add the sugar syrup in two batches. Add the first half and mix quickly and firmly to prevent any lump formation. Now add the rest of the syrup and mix carefully.
Cover, and let it cook until Kada Prasad starts to comes together and gets thick.
Then add 1 tablespoon of ghee and mix well. Ghee will be quickly absorbed into the Halwa.
Keep cooking at low flame till it starts to leave ghee from sides.
Turn off the flame, and add freshly grated coconut.
Mix well and remove into a bowl. Serve hot.
