🥤Why should you try this Kiwi Quencher tropical smoothie?

Here is why you will enjoy this Kiwi smoothie .

    1. Quick and easy treat. If you are looking for a refreshing and delicious way to cool down on a hot summer day, try making this kiwi smoothie in a matter of minutes with very little effort.
    2. Delicious Taste: Kiwi and the strawberry combination creates a sweet and tangy flavor that tastes amazing. Adding coconut milk gives it a tropical twist and a creamy texture.
    3. Nutritious: Kiwis are a good source of Vitamin C, dietary fiber, and potassium. Strawberries are also high in Vitamin C and antioxidants. Coconut milk is a great source of healthy fats, and it may help to improve cholesterol levels.
    4. Refreshing and bursting with tropical flavors: The blend of fruit and coconut milk makes for a refreshing drink that can be enjoyed any time of day. It can be a great way to cool down on a hot day or to satisfy a sweet tooth without consuming excessive amounts of sugar.
    1. Customizable: though this is a copycat recipe, one of the best things about smoothies, in general, is that they're highly customizable. You can use a variety of fruits, vegetables, liquid bases, and toppings to create a smoothie that suits your taste preferences and dietary needs.

Overall, a kiwi and strawberry smoothie made with coconut milk is a delicious and healthy drink that is perfect for anyone looking for a tropical twist in their smoothie.

🍶Ingredients for making Strawberry kiwi quencher tropical smoothie

ingredients required for making the strawberry kiwi quencher

Below are the kiwi smoothie ingredients but there is always a possibility for substitution and customization.

    Kiwi (fresh or frozen)

Choose ripe kiwis. Peel and cut them into cubes and freeze. You can use fresh or frozen kiwis depending on what you have.

Kiwis are typically harvested when they are still firm and unripe. They ripen over time. Wait until the kiwi is fully ripe, which is usually indicated by a slight give when you press it gently with your fingers.

    Strawberries

Strawberries are rich in vitamin C and antioxidants, which help to boost your immune system and protect your cells from damage. They add a great taste to this kiwi quencher smoothie and nicely complement the flavor of kiwi and coconut milk.

I have used frozen strawberries in the recipe as they work best and aid in providing a thick base to the smoothie.  But if you do not have frozen strawberries on hand, begin by washing them thoroughly and cutting off any stems or leaves. Hull the strawberries and slice them into quarters. Then freeze them overnight before using them in the smoothie.

    Maple syrup

You can use maple syrup or any other sweetener of your choice. You could use agave, honey, or brown sugar syrup.

If you want to make vegan kiwi mango smoothies, you can choose vegan sweeteners like maple syrup, coconut sugar, etc.

    Milk

I like to use whole milk in my smoothies. But to give a tropical twist to this one, I decided to use unsweetened coconut milk. It makes the smoothie more fragrant but does not compromise the creaminess of the smoothie. You could go for other plant-based milk like oat milk, almond milk, or soy milk.

    Yogurt

I have used low-fat Greek yogurt, but you could use any of the following :

    1. Greek yogurt: Greek yogurt is thick, creamy, and high in protein, making it a great addition to smoothies. It is also low in sugar and can add a tangy flavor to the smoothie.
    2. Regular yogurt: Regular yogurt is thinner than Greek yogurt, but it can still work well in smoothies. It has a milder flavor and is often available in a variety of fruit flavors, making it a convenient option for those who want to add more sweetness to their smoothies.
    3. Non-dairy yogurt: For those who are lactose intolerant or vegan, non-dairy yogurt made from coconut, almond, or soy milk can be used in this kiwi quencher smoothie. These yogurts are often thicker and creamier than regular dairy yogurts, but they may have a different flavor profile.
    4. Skyr: Skyr is a type of Icelandic yogurt that is thicker and creamier than Greek yogurt. It is high in protein and low in sugar, making it a great option for those who want to add more nutrition to this smoothie.

🔪Instructions to make a strawberry kiwi quencher smoothie

    Step 1 Prepare the fruits

Wash, peel, and dice the kiwis. Put them in a freezer-safe box or a ziplock bag and freeze overnight. You can also use them fresh as well, but at least one of the fruits has to be frozen for getting a thicker consistency.

If you do not have frozen strawberries, use fresh ones. Wash them nicely and remove the leaves. Then slice into halves and freeze in a freezer-safe bag.

Step 2 Blend the smoothie base

images showing the step-by-step process of making strawberry kiwi quencher smoothie

In a blender, add yogurt, coconut milk ( or milk of your choice), maple
syrup, and frozen strawberry and kiwi ( fresh or frozen). Blend on high until
    smooth and creamy.

    Step 3 Adjust consistency.

If the smoothie is too thick, you can add a little more coconut milk
or water to achieve your desired consistency. If it's too thin, you can add
more frozen fruit or ice to thicken it up.

    Step 4 Pour into glasses

Once the smoothie base is ready, pour it into serving bowls. This recipe will make two medium-sized glasses.

Step 5 Add toppings and enjoy!

Now it's time to get creative with the toppings! Add sliced kiwi, strawberry,
or any other toppings of your choice. Garnish with mint and enjoy!

with antioxidants, vitamins, and all-natural ingredients for a guilt-free

    🥝Possible Kiwi smoothie variations ideas

    • If you want to boost the nutritional content of your smoothie, you can add some spinach or kale for some extra greens. You won't even taste the difference!
    • Replace coconut milk with coconut water if you want it runny and cut some calories. Also, Coconut water is a great source of electrolytes, which help to keep you hydrated and replenish your body after a workout.
    • Add more tropical fruits like pineapple, coconut meat, papaya, or mango to lift the tropical profile of the smoothie.
    • To make this smoothie even more filling, you can add a scoop of protein powder or some nut butter for some added protein and healthy fats.
    • Use vegan yogurt to make a vegan kiwi quencher.
    • Cut down the liquid and use only frozen fruits to make it into a thick, and filling breakfast smoothie bowl like the Kiwi mango smoothie bowl.
    • You can also add some chia seeds or flax seeds for a nuttier taste and added health benefits while making it more filling. But do not expect it to taste like a tropical smoothie café smoothie copycat.
